PLEASANT POINT – Frances D. Cleaves, 82, died May 23, 2004 at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1921, at Pleasant Point, Perry, the daughter of Samuel Dana and Elizabeth Socobasin. She is survived by one son, Clayton Cleaves; two daughters, Roberta Richter, Linda Naples, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Richard Socobasin, Timothy Newell Sr.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, including close nephews, Tim and Michael Socobasin. Friends may call at Frances’s residence on Horse Shoe Lane, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant Point, Perry. Interment will be in the Passamaquoddy Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by the Flagg Funeral Home, Eastport.
