FRANCES D. CLEAVES PLEASANT POINT – Frances D. Cleaves, 82, died May 23, 2004, after a long battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as she peacefully passed. She is survived by her sister, Genevieve Neptune; and two brothers, Richard Socobasin and Timothy Newell Sr.; one son, Clayton Cleaves; two daughters, Roberta Richter and Linda Naples; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces nephews, and cousins, including close nephews, Tim and Michael Sosobasin. Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26, at Frances’s residence on Horse Shoe Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004, at St. Ann’s Church, Pleasant Point, Perry, interment in the Passamaquoddy Tribal Cemetery.
