KENNETH J. MATTOX BANGOR – Kenneth J. Mattox, 57, passed peacefully Monday, May 24, 2004, after a long period of ill health. He was born Sept. 2, 1946, in Sampson, N.Y., the son of Vern and Julia Mattox. He graduated from Brown Technical High School, Wilmington, Del., and received his B.S. from Husson College in Bangor. Kenneth served in the U.S. Air force and the Maine Air National Guard. He was also employed by Wickes Lumber and Stillwater Dental. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery. He is survived by his wife, Maureen; son Jason and his, wife, Patti, of St. George. Ken was predeceased by his daughter, Nyssa Joelle, in 1988; and his parents, Vern and Julia Mattox. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
