BELFAST – Frances H. Hawley, 86, of Belfast passed away on Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at a local health care facility. She was born in Natick, Mass. on Sept. 30, 1917, the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude (Clancy) Harding. Frances was a CNA at the Bradbury Manor before becoming a matron at the Deborah Lincoln House, Belfast, for 16 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and watching soap opera’s. She was also a member of the Rebekah’s Lodge for many years and a member of the First Church in Belfast. Frances is predeceased by her husband Thomas; and a son, James E. Hawley. She is survived by a son, George Hawley; a daughter, Marion Irene Carroll; and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Hawley; eight grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at the First Church, Church Street, Belfast.
