BREWER – Frances L. (McCarron) Reed, 85, died Sept. 6, 2005, at an Orono nursing facility. She was born Aug. 17, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of Timothy R. and Mary E. (Long) McCarron. She was a graduate of Brewer High School, lived a number of years in the communities of Brewer, Bucksport, Bangor and Orono. She always had a sparkle in her eye, a great sense of humor and was loved by her family. She is survived by son, Dolor Pearson of Charlton, Mass.; daughter, Dolores Augustus of Worcester, Mass.; daughter, Pamela Menzel; brother, James McCarron and his wife, Judy, of Litchfield, N.H.; several grandchildren including, Michael Augustus, Edward Augustus and Heather Augustus; great-granddaughter, Michelle; several nieces and nephews including Michael P. McCarron, Mary Ellen McCarron, Brian J. McCarron, Julie M. MacIntosh; special nephew, Timothy Costain and his wife, Nancy of Woodville. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Reed; son, Robert Pearson; three sisters, Eleanor Costain, Kathleen Rankin and Leone Clough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, with Fr. Richard McLaughlin, celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. In appreciation of the wonderful care that Frances received, donations in her memory may be made to Orono Commons, 117 Bennoch Rd., Orono, ME 04473.
