DOVER-FOXCROFT – Frank A. Johnson, 73, husband of the late Charlene (Erickson) Johnson, passed from this world to the next, lovingly surrounded by his children, March 31, 2004, at a local nursing home. He was born March 5, 1931, in Monson, the son of Albin and Annie Louise (Landry) Johnson. A graduate of Monson Academy, Class of 1948, he had retired from Moosehead Manufacturing after 44 years. He was member of Odd Fellows IOOF, the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, where he had served on many committees including singing in the Chancel Choir, and he had volunteered for Meals for ME and the Piscataquis YMCA. Frank lived his life with a smile. His grin spread from friend to friend and kid to grandkid. He is survived by three sons, Randy and his wife, Brenda, Alan and his wife, Patty, Rich and his wife, Cindy, all of Dover-Foxcroft; four daughters, Judy and her husband, Mark, of Monson, Rose and her friend, Burgess, Lois, Shelly and her friend, Mike and his daughter, Lauren, all of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, Andrew Jacobson of Maryland; 13 grandchildren, Veronica and her fiance, Josh, Branden, Melody and her husband, David, Jason and his wife, Kimberly, Miranda and her husband Toby, Elizabeth, Christopher, Mike and his friend, Erin, Matthew, Jonathan, Lance Corporal Ryan Hobbs, currently stationed in Japan, Colby, and Conner; five great-grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Tiffany, Olivia, and Aiden. He was predeceased by a son, Sheldon. Friends are invited to call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2004, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Dale officiating.
