PRENTISS – Fred L. Grant Sr., 89, husband of the late Enola (Lothrop) Grant, died Dec. 12, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born May 8, 1918, in Prentiss, the son of Fred and Birdie (Smith) Grant. He was a member of Forest Lodge AF & AM, Springfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Williams and Betha Andrews, both of Arizona and Loraine Gray of Old Town; one sister, Grace Kenney of Augusta; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grand-children, five great-great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Enola, he was predeceased by a son, Fred L. Grant Jr.; two sisters, Laura Pelkey and Sula Thompson; and a half brother, Blake Grant. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Thompson Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
