WASHBURN and PRESQUE ISLE – Freda G. Hay, 90, wife of the late Gordon Hay, died Feb. 9, 2005, at Caribou following a long illness. She was born Nov. 20, 1914, at Caribou, the daughter of James and Delvina (Hathaway) Gamblin. She was a graduate of the Caribou High School and was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of the Rebecca Star Lodge in Washburn and was an avid reader. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Lucille Hay of Presque Isle; two daughters, Marilyn H. Cyr of Caribou and Phyllis H. Ayoob of Port Orange, Fla.; a sister, Claudine LeMoine of Melbourne, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Ellen Bell of Bradenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Claude Cyr and Larry Ayoob. Graveside services will be held in the spring and will be announced in the Bangor Daily News by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Hay may do so through their local library.
