The Family Of GARETH LEROY VAN DINE SR. and RUBY ANNA VAN DINE Wishes to thank those who were so supportive throughout the past two years and after Gary and Ann’s passing. Thank you to Orissie Faloon for use of the “church across the river” in Medway; Sutt Jacobs and daughters, Michele and Dawn, for handling so many arrangements; Robert Rhodes Sr. for arranging the military salute; the women’s group at Calvary Temple, East Millinocket, for hosting Mom’s luncheon; Medway Middle School for use of their gym; and to Clay Funeral Home for hosting both ceremonies so beautifully. Thank you to those who shared warm memories of Mom and Dad, and to the relatives of Dad who traveled from so far away to say goodbye. To the ministers that visited and prayed for Mom at Eastern Maine Medical Center and MRH, the doctors, emergency medical technician’s, nurses and home support persons that attended to her, and the friends, family and neighbors that brought meals, cards, flowers and words of support – thank you. And a special thank you to those kindred spirits whose fellowship Mom and Dad relied on to weather the tough times, celebrate the good times and remember the great times. Like color washed from a painting, life is less interesting without them. They made life on this moldy rock – engaging and soulful, spiritual and beautiful, and encouraged us to think, learn, aspire, believe, pray, sing and dream. They held hands, ignored the rules and ran headlong into the beauty of a chaotic world to create their art of stories and ideas. Art is relative and many missed the point, but for those who understand Gary and Ann will forever inspire us to fly high, love deep and dream on.
