MATTAWAMKEAG – Geneva M. Irvine, 79, wife of the late George Irvine, died Dec. 22, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born May 25, 1925, in New Canada, the daughter of Billy J. and Laura (Michaud) Gagnon. Geneva loved doing handwork, crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing. She also enjoyed the many outings she had with her friends. She is survived by a son, Robert P. Irvine and his wife, Janna, of Old Town; a daughter, Rhonda M. Higgins and her granddaughter, Kayla, of Lisbon Falls; two sisters, Dora Dumond and Martha Jarrett, both of Ft. Kent; a brother, Gilman Gagnon and his wife, Lorraine, of Warehouse Point, Conn.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many great friends. In addition to her husband, George, she was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Fisher. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Spring interment will be in Mattawamkeag Cemetery.
