NEW LIMERICK – Geneva M. Plourde, 84, died July 8, 2007, in Houlton. She was born April 18, 1923, in Crystal, the daughter of Forrest and Mary (Byers) Howe. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, Reynold Jr. and his wife, Janice Plourde, of Bangor, Lucien and his wife, Sandra Plourde, of Houlton and John Sr. and his wife, Ruth Plourde, of Hermon; 10 grandchildren, Deborah, Donna, Mark, Bruce, Joseph, Sue, Michael, John Jr., Jason and Meredith; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Howe of Ludlow; and three sisters, Phyllis Worthley of Hodgdon, Lavona Varney of Houlton and Joanne Drake of Sacramento, Calif. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Reynold Sr.; her parents; a half sister, Alice; three sisters, Helen, Beulah and Hilda; and two brothers, John and Tink. Friends may call 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton, with Father Roger Cyr, celebrant.
