ORONO – George D. Farnsworth died April 2, 2005, peacefully at his Orono home. He was born May 7, 1939. He was predeceased by his parents Carl “Pat” and Frances Farnsworth. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; son, Jason and Destiny Farnsworth of Bangor; daughter, Lesley Farnsworth of Alexandria, Va.; stepchildren, Scott and Katherine Goodine of Levant, Stephanie Brown of Orono, Susan Lippoth of Winterport; grandchildren, Colby Farnsworth of Bangor, Danielle and Rick Stancombe of Bloomington, Ind., Elizabeth Goodine of Levant; great-grandson, Maxwell Robert Stancombe of Bloomington, Ind.; sisters, Ann and Lewis Rosebush of Orono, Pam and Paul Savoy of Orono; brother, Bruce and Carolyn Farnsworth of Orono; many much-loved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at St. Mary’s Church, Orono, with the Rev. Joseph Koury, pastor, presider. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the services at Pat’s Pizza, Orono.
