OLD TOWN – George J. DeRoche, 80, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 30, 1925, in Orono, son of the late George A. and Marguerit (Legere) DeRoche. George was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army and following his discharge he joined the D.A.V. He was employed for many years in New Hampshire by the Batesville Casket Co. and was also a security guard in Bangor. George is survived by four stepsons, Paul Lozier, Frederick Lozier and Francis Lozier, all of New Hampshire and Charles Lozier of Washington state; stepdaughter, Pauline Mydosh of Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise DeRoch. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, at the Holy Family Parish Chapel in Old Town with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille Celebrant.
