NORTH SULLIVAN and CHERRYFIELD – George “Norman” Hicks, 89, died Feb. 1, 2007, at an Ellsworth nursing facility. He was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Charleston, the son of George and Emma Dyson Hicks. He is survived by his two daughters, Lois Love and her husband, John, of New Brunswick and Meredith Moon of South Portland; two grandsons, Christopher Boucar and Peter Boucar and his wife, Mary; his great-grandchildren, Christopher and John Michael Boucar, David Briggs, Douglas Hicks and Becky Salisbury. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary; grandson, Michael Hicks; and his son-in-law, Anthony Moon. Burial will be at Gordon Cemetery at a later date. At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
