INDIAN TOWNSHIP – George S. Sabattis, 46, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at his home. George was born June 8, 1959, in Peter Dana Point, son of Stephen and Phyllis (Stevens) Sabattis Sr. He was employed as a forestry technician for Passamaquoddy Forestry Department in Indian Township. George enjoyed moose hunting, ice fishing, cooking, bartering, teaching children about the outdoors and was known for his generosity, great sense of humor and his booming laugh. He was proud of being in a documentary on PBS called “Colonial House”. George was predeceased by his mother, Phyllis Sabattus. Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Day) Sabattis; his father, Stephen Sabattis; six children, George Sabattus Jr., Jerod Day, Mariah Sabattus, Heather Sabattus, Mikayla Sabattis, and Phyllis Sabattis, all of Indian Township; three sisters, Elona Muwin, Karen Sabattis, and Rhonda Sabattis; six brothers, Frank “Cheyenne” Muwin, Stephen Sabattis Jr., Patrick Sabattis, Karl Sabattus, Richard Sabattus and Clint Sabattis; six grandchildren, Lila Grant, Jenna, Brooke, Shania Neptune, Nevaeh and Lorene Dana; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friends. Friends may call starting Tuesday, 5 p.m. until Thursday, 10 a.m. at his home, 13 Turtle Dr., Indian Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, by Fr.
