CARIBOU – George W. Williams, 82, died Nov. 22, 2006, in Caribou. He was born Nov. 18, 1924, at Great Pond, the son of Rodney and Rita (Archer) Williams. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed as an auto detailer for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Pamela Williams of Toledo, Ohio, Rebecca Marston of Dixfield and Mary Ames of Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren, seven great-grand-children; a loving nephew, Paul White of Orrington; many friends and caregivers at the Maine Veterans’ Homes, Caribou. Mr. Williams was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne (Ouellette) Williams. Friends may visit with the family noon Thursday until time of memorial services, which will be held 2 p.m. at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with the Rev. David Goupille officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
