STONINGTON – Georgia Gertrude Vangeli, 92, wife of the late Richard Vangeli, died April 27, 2008, at a Deer Isle health care facility. She was born Nov. 23, 1915, in Stonington, the daughter of Ernest and Winifred (Murphy) Coombs. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Maria Bois and her husband, Roland, of Stratton and Linda Vangeli of Kentucky, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Constance Faircloth of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband of 35 years and two brothers. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 9 Thurlow’s Hill Road, Stonington. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Star of Sea Catholic Church, 10 Granite St., Stonington, with the Rev. James Plourde, Parochial Vica, officiating.
