EASTON – Gerald B. Doak, 96, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, April 21, 2008. He was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Easton, the son of Dudley and Mable (Gray) Doak. A lifelong resident of Easton, Gerald worked for area farmers and then for several years at the Valshing processing plant before retiring. In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his only brother, Merlin Doak. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 73 years, Rena (Fuller) Doak. In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by a sister-in-law, Edith Fuller; a nephew, Wendell Fuller; several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be sadly missed by a special great-nephew and family, David, Tammy, Samantha and Luke Fuller. Gerald always had a smile on his face and especially loved a good joke. He and Rena were not only husband and wife, but also best friends who truly enjoyed doing everything together. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev Gregg Jackson officiating.
