OKEECHOBEE, Fla. – Gerald S. Jardine, 85, died Dec. 19, 2007, at Okeechobee Health Care Facility. Mr. Jardine was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Washburn, to William and Amber Jardine. He moved to the Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie, Fla., area in the 1950s. He later spent 16 years traveling the U.S. with his wife in their RV, finally relocating to Okeechobee, Fla., in 2006. Mr. Jardine is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lois Porter Jardine of Okeechobee, Fla.; and great-granddaughter, Amber Hamilton-Smith of Fort Pierce, Fla. The family will receive telephone calls and visitors at their home.
