CARIBOU – Gerald W. Dickinson, 61, died June 7, 2007, in Bangor. He was born July 5, 1946, in Caribou, the son of Kenneth and Iona (Miller) Dickinson. He was educated in the Caribou school system and served with the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Converse Shoe Co., Presque Isle for many years. Gerald was a member of the Lister-Knowlton Post No. 9389 VFW. He is survived by three brothers, Melvin Dickinson and his wife, Evelyn, of Mountain View, Mo., Darrell Dickinson and his wife, Rebecca, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Dana Dickinson and his wife, Mary, of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Ronald and Roger Dickinson; and one sister, Brenda Dickinson. Friends may call noon Saturday, June 16, until time of services, with military prayer services being held noon by the officers and members of the VFW, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ryan Perry officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
