BANGOR – Geraldine Corson Morrell, 89, went home to be with her Lord May 11, 2008, while at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 8, 1919, in Madrid, Maine, daughter of Alonzo C. and Hazel (Reed) Corson. Geraldine lived in Middletown, Conn., for many years where she worked for E.I.S., an automotive parts assembly plant for 26 years. Geraldine was a member of AARP and attended Abundant Life Church, Bangor. She enjoyed crafts and dancing but most of all loved to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine will be remembered as a special lady, not only by her family, but by all she came in contact with. Geraldine is survived by a son, Steven M. Morrell and his wife, Sherrill, of Hampden; two daughters, Eleanor M. Bell and her husband, Allen “Al,” of Glenburn and Sandra L. Fickett and her husband, Julian, of Aledo, Texas; one brother, Gerald Corson of Jay; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grand-children, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Milford H. Morrell in 1958; two brothers, Harold and Norman Corson; three sisters, her twin, Ernestine Cahoone, Marie Huff and Dorothy Kinney; and by a great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Morrell in 2007. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dick Woehr officiating.
