WINTERPORT – Geraldine Rose (Forbes) Miller, 78, was called to Heaven, April 15, 2004, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Winterport. She was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Freeman and Inza (Alley) Forbes. Gerry had made her home in Winterport for the past 50 years, and was a longtime member of the TOP’s club of Winterport, and a member of the former Winterport United Methodist Church. She was a very talented lady and enjoyed crafts. Gerry donated many items she had made over the years to churches and organizations to help them raise money. She was a wonderful seamstress and worked out of her home doing alterations for most of her life. Gerry will be remembered as a loving and kind, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Spencer and Nancy Brown, both of Winterport; three sons, Arnold Miller and his wife, Barbara, of Orono, Raymond Miller of Frankfort and Michael Miller of Winterport; three brothers, Milton Forbes and his wife, Addie, of Alabama, Roland Forbes and his wife, Marlene, and Carroll Forbes, all of Presque Isle; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Miller; a daughter, Ann Marie Miller in 2003; by a sister, Doris; and a brother, Merle. A service of celebration for the life of Gerry will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, with the Rev. Charles Hurst, pastor of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Bangor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in “Gerry’s” memory may be made care of Nancy C.
