HOULTON – Gladys P. McIntosh, 94, died July 30, 2005, at Houlton. She was born Dec. 24, 1910, in Patten, the daughter of Raymond and Edith Sibley. Gladys made many friends in Houlton and afar through her interest and knowledge of antiques and rug hooking. After retirement she took bus trips with friends and traveled to visit children and grandchildren in this country and abroad. She had a real appreciation and love of animals, large and small, domestic or wild. Two trips to Africa gave her the opportunity to observe wildlife in a natural habitat. She is survived by one son, Edwin and his wife, Patricia McIntosh, of Littleton; three grandchildren, Edwin William McIntosh of Sugarloaf, Roberta McIntosh and her husband, Dana Delano, of Houlton, Pamela and her husband, John Walker, of Falmouth; three great-grandchildren, Sara McIntosh Delano, Katherine Ann Walker, and John McIntosh Walker. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Elwyn; and one daughter, Gwen Callnan. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with the Rev. Jessie Drysdale officiating.
