JONESPORT – Glenna V. (Davis) Chandler, 81, passed away peacefully March 29, 2007, surrounded by her family at home. Glenna was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Machiasport, the oldest daughter of the late Winslow and Adelaide (Reynolds) Davis. Glenna had a passion for yard sales and loved camping with her children and grandchildren. She also loved the shopping trips with her four daughters, especially the Christmas trips. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grand-children, eight sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; two children, two brothers, and a son-in-law. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church, Jonesport, officiated by Pastor George Woodward. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Health and Counseling – Down East Hospice, R.R. 1 Box 339A, Machias, ME 04654.
