HOULTON – Glenna H. Cyr, 85, died Nov. 9, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 30, 1920, at Woodland Center, the daughter of Prescott K. and Bessie V. (Wilcox) Holmes. Glenna married Lynwood R. Cyr on July 30, 1938 and enjoyed 67 wonderful years with him. She worked at IGA Foodliner for many years and loved to play bingo. She is survived by her loving husband, Lynwood R. Cyr of Houlton; one son, Lynwood P. Cyr and his wife, Dolores, of Alabama; one daughter, Bessie C. Wyman and her husband, Philip D., of Houlton; four grandchildren, eight great-grand-children; two brothers, Judson W. Holmes of Santa Barbara, Calif., John H. Holmes of Las Vegas, Nev.; two foster brothers, Ernest L. Strong of Columbus, Ohio, Eliot Sutherland of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Ora M. Plourde of Ashland, Bessie H. McConnell of Presque Isle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandson, Philip R. Wyman. Friends may call noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
