RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Mrs. Gloria E. Amero, 75, an Old Town native, died Jan. 1, 2007. Mrs. Amero was born Aug. 8, 1931, daughter of the late Alphonse and Edna (Morin) Seymour. Mrs. Amero was the wife of Ronald A. Amero. She attended Old Town schools. A Connecticut resident since 1953 coming from Maine, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church, Ridgefield, Conn., and a member of their Prime-Timers. In addition to her husband, Ron, Mrs. Amero is survived by two sons, Ronald Amero and Shawn Amero; a daughter, Paula Schumacher; two sisters, Barbara Merchant and Shirley Arsenault; seven grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, a great-granddaughter and many, many nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, South Main Street, Old Town. Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, Conn., is in charge of the arrangements.
