EAST MILLINOCKET – Gloria L. Toussaint, 80, wife of the late John Toussaint, died Aug. 22, 2006, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Woodville, the daughter of Arthur and Cora (Kimball) Libby. Gloria was a graduate of Schenck High School. She loved her church where she was a longtime, active member of the East Millinocket Congregational Church. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, The American Legion Auxiliary, and the Pitch Club. She was a very devoted family member and was a good cook who had a gift for preparing excellent meals. She always loved spending summers at camp, and she and John traveled extensively during their lifetime. She is survived by a special nephew, Gilbert Chaisson of Houlton; two special nieces who lived with Gloria during their high school years, Mary Jane Gurney of Sanford and Elizabeth Crosby of East Millinocket; a sister-in-law, Jean Nicholson of East Millinocket; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at East Millinocket Congregational Church, with the Rev. Ernest Johnson officiating. Interment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
