NEWPORT and STETSON – Gloria V. Furrow, 74, of Newport and Stetson, passed away on Oct. 30, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Brewer, a daughter of Lavern and Virginia (Day) Bissell. Gloria also known as Go Go, worked several years as a waitress. She was also in the grandparent program for 11 years at the Hill Top Day Care in Bangor. She loved the Ponies and Doggie races and to watch the Red Sox. These were her favorite things to do. She was loved by all her children and grandchildren but most of all her husband whom she called Daddy. She is predeceased by her mother, Virginia; one brother, Robert; one sister, Gena. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harold L. Furrow Sr. of Newport; her father, Lavern Bissell; her children, Harold Jr. of West Virginia, Robin Goodness and her husband, Gary, of Newport, Bruce E. Furrow of New York, Jay Allen Furrow of Newburgh, Peter John Furrow and his wife, Brenda, of Dixmont, Sharon Moore and her husband, Denis Moore, of Etna, Debbie Lizotte and her husband, Junior, of Veazie; one brother, Richard of Dedham; one sister, Pee Wee of Eddington; several grandchildren and few great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Lawry Brothers Memorial & Remembrance Center (Unity Center for the Performing Arts), Depot Street, Unity where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday.
