GUILFORD and DENNYSVILLE Goldie L. Morrison, 81, went home to be with the Lord June 22, 2004. Goldie was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Edmunds, the daughter of Edgar W. and Addie K. (Jones) Morrison. Goldie was a loving mother and grandmother who prior to her retirement worked at several area sardine factories. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. She loved her grandchildren, all those she met and touched her life. She especially enjoyed her walks, where she could observe nature and chat with those she met along the way. In 1996, she moved to Guilford to be near her grandchildren. There she was able to see her beloved great-grandchildren born and grow. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Rae Smith of California; grandchildren, Janice and her husband, Tim, of Sangerville, Deanna Niles of Lewiston, Sherri Clifford of Newport, Thomas D. Clifford of Virginia, Jason L. Clifford, U.S. Army currently serving in Iraq, and a special granddaughter and her husband, Wendy and Joshua Morin of Parkman; 14 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a special friend and her husband, Elaine and John Goodreau; a special niece, Frances Spears; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Morrison; and several nieces and nephews. Goldie was predeceased by three brothers, Edgar, Burleigh and Colen Morrison; two sisters, Blanch Dudley and Lavada Jones; and a special friend, Mary Smith. Family and friends may call 1-2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Flagg Funeral Home, 72 High St., Eastport. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. at the Dennysville Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to Shelly Folsom, 232 Ripley Road, Cambridge, ME 04923, to help with any left over expenses.
