PITTSFIELD – Gordon F. Williams, 65, died Oct. 5, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 21, 1939 at Bangor, a son of George and Mary (Wingate) Williams. He will be remembered as a self-employed painter and area handyman and was known for his love of the outdoors. In addition to his mother of Brewer, he is survived by his wife, Lois (Knights) Williams of Pittsfield; brothers and sisters, Richard and wife, Barbara Williams, of Glenburn, Donald and Linda Williams of Dixmont, Norma Dodge of Newport, Clair and Brenda Williams of Kenduskeag, Deanna and Ronald Madore of Brewer; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at the family lot, Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
