LITTLETON – Grace E. Garbotz, 82, died March 14, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 5, 1921, in Bloomfield, New Brunswick, and was the daughter of Frank and Effie (Smith) Jewett. Grace graduated from the Cosmetology School of Nellie Hatfield and was a secretary for Dr. Robert Goodwin for many years. She was a member of the Littleton United Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Duff and her husband, Allen, of Littleton; grandchildren, Laurie Jipson and her husband, Doug, of Houlton, Paulette Sherman and her husband, Stacy, of New Limerick, and Amanda Duff of Littleton; great-grandchildren, Ashley Ann, Megan Lynn, Breanna Grace and Grace Elizabeth of Houlton; one sister, Glenna Cullins; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Cunningham; her second husband, Walter Garbotz; her son, Richard Cunningham; her brother, James Jewett; two sisters, Alice Pomeroy and Mary Kathryn Jewett. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, at the Dunn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
