OAKFIELD – Greta H. White, 91, died Feb. 8, 2007, at a local health care facility. She was born May 2, 1915, in Oakfield, the daughter of Ellsworth and Violette (Plummer) White. Greta was a graduate of Houlton High School and the Bangor Conservatory of Music, was a member of the Oakfield Universalist Church, Oakfield Grange and Aroostook Pamona Grange. She taught organ and piano for many years, and played the organ at the First Baptist Church, Houlton, for 24 years. She is survived by her sister, Ursula Levesque of Oakfield; two nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces, three great-nephews, one great-great-nephew. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Henry White and Lyle White; one niece, Janet White. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday with David Hutchin-son officiating.
