MANCHESTER, N.H. – Gret-chen Russell, 77, died June 29, 2005, after a long battle with emphysema. She was born July 12, 1927, in Limestone, the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary (Ouellette) Sirois. Gretchen graduated from Limestone High School and attended Mercy Hospital Nurses Training in Portland. She worked in various family businesses in Winterport and Greenville. She resided in New Hampshire and Florida since 1970. She was a 10-year volunteer with Elliot Hospital. Gretchen is survived by two daughters, Gail and Lawrence Fournier of Derry, N.H., Daralyn and Herbert Clark of Rochester, N.H.; and a son, Maynard and Candy Russell of Greenville; as well as five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel MacDonald, of Crystal River, Fla., Edwina Whited of Bridgewater, Lucille Rollins and Sylvia Briggs of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a brother, Frederick of Windsor, Conn. She was predeceased by a brother, Maynard, of Limestone. There will be no funeral services. After cremation there will be a family burial service in Woodstock, N.H.
