FORT KENT – Guildo Pelletier, 69, beloved husband of 45 years to Fernande (Bonenfant) Pelletier of Fort Kent, died unexpectedly Nov. 1, 2003, from complications of surgery in Bangor. He was born Aug. 19, 1934, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, to Norbert and Emile (Emond) Pelletier. Guildo was a kind, quiet, loving and honest man who loved and lived for his wife, children and grandchildren. He worked for approximately 22 years as a salesman for Long’s Bakery and Roy Lausier Distributors and then for Pinkham Lumber until his retirement in 1996. He was a life member of the Fourth Degree Assembly Knights of Columbus Council No. 1934 and a member of the Senior Citizens, both of Fort Kent. Guildo and his wife enjoyed and followed for many years “Les Rencontres” of Edmunston, New Brunswick. His hobbies included doing woodwork and drawings for his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Diane, and her husband, Rodney Pelletier of New Canada; son, Richard and his wife, Betsy, of Madison, Conn.; his four grandchildren whom he cherished and enjoyed spending time with, Chad, Corey, and Carissa Pelletier of New Canada and Stefan Pelletier of Madison, Conn.; four brothers, Oneil Pelletier of St. Francois, New Brunswick, Albert Pelletier and his wife, Rose of Fort Kent, Zoel Pelletier and his wife, Claudette of Sudbury, Ontario, Herve Pelletier of Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters, Aldea Bedard and her husband, Gerard, of Ste. Foye, Quebec, Berthe Caouette and her husband, Carmel and Louise Pelletier, all of Edmunston, New Brunswick; one sister-in-law, Nicole Pelletier of Sudbury, Ontario and his beloved Bonenfant family, Laurine and Adrian Hebert of Fort Kent, Maurice Bonenfant of Clair, New Brunswick and Theresa (Roger) Bonenfant of Fort Kent. He is also survived by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Guildo was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Yvon and his son, Robert “Bobby” Pelletier on Dec. 5, 2002. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, in Fort Kent 3-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal service with full Fourth Degree Honors will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J.
