LINCOLN – Gwendolyn Ireland, 75, died July 18, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born April 21, 1932, in Bangor, the daughter of Harvey and Beatrice Quimby. She was a member of Lincoln Center Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed singing. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Ireland of Lincoln; a son, Adam Ireland of Hermon; two grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua of New York; two sisters, Barbara Albert of Mattawamkeag, and Rita Soucier of Howland; a sister-in-law, Hope Kelly of Medway; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Ireland; and a brother-in-law, Coburn Ireland. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Lincoln Center Baptist Church with the Rev. William Bewell officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
