HOLDEN – Harland L. Young, 86, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1920, in Brooks, the son of Eben and Florence (Colson) Young. Harland proudly served his country, having fought during World War II with the U.S. Navy. He was also a Mason in Bangor. He is survived by four children and many other family members who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Marguerite. A celebration of life gathering will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Harland’s home, 59 Church Road, Holden, where the family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the gathering.
