BIDDEFORD – Harold L. Crichton, 87, and formerly of Mars Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Shaw House, Partners in Care Giving, in Biddeford. He was born May 20, 1917, in Mars Hill, a son of David and Annie May Montgomery Crichton. He attended local schools there and worked for Sears and Roebuck for many years in management. Mr. Crichton had also sold real estate for a time. He enjoyed gardening and was also an Eagle Scout. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Findland; and four beloved brothers, James, Robert, Philip and Paul. Mr. Crichton is survived by his daughter, Marion Crichton King of Kennebunkport; two granddaughters, Allison Mary Lindy and her husband, Matthew, of Chicago, Ill., and Lauren Crichton King of Boston, Mass; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, at St. David’s Church, Rt.1, Kennebunk. Burial will be at the Kings Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill, in the spring.
