GREENBUSH – Harold M. Kneeland, 83, husband of Marjorie (Con-don) Kneeland, died April 27, 2007, surrounded by his loving family at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 13, 1923, in Topsfield, the son of Justin and Cora (Hamilton) Kneeland. Harold was a 1943 graduate of Lee Academy. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a charter member of the Greenbush Fire Department and was employed by the Maine Forest Service for many years. Harold was a faithful member of the Olamon Faith Bible Church for many years. In addition to his wife of 49 years, Marjorie, he is survived by a son, Keith and his wife, Julie, of Greenbush; a daughter, Maryellen Thornton and her husband, Tim, of Phoenix City, Ala.; five grandchildren, Keith Jr. of Old Town, Gloria, and Brian Kneeland both of Bangor and Nicole and Tiffany Thornton of Phoenix City, Ala.; a sister, Gladys Bean of Bangor; a nephew, Bobby Bean of Lincoln; two nieces, Debbie Fraser of Brewer and Darlene Bean of Bangor; and a special friend of the family, Josh Tupper. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Carl Smith and the Rev. Bruce Stevens officiating. Interment will be at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. All are invited to Marjorie’s home after the service.
