HARRY A. LANPHEAR JR. BROWNVILLE JUNCTION and BANGOR – Harry A. “Chuck” Lan-phear Jr., 79, passed away peacefully Nov. 3, 2007. Chuck was born March 3, 1928, in Elizabeth, N.J., and retired to Brownville Junction and Schoodic Lake. He enjoyed his family, spending time at Schoodic Lake and playing bridge. During his career he was a registered Maine guide, served in the military and was a manager for both W.T. Grant & Co., and New York Life Insurance Co. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jane D. Lanphear. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen Dean Lanphear of Derby; his daughter, Katherine Kauffman of Sabattus; son, Harry A. Lanphear III of Manchester; and daughter, Mary House of South Portland; and six grandchildren, Kyle Lanphear Proehl, Chelsea Kauffman, Harry Lanphear IV, Tommy Lanphear, Eliza House and Ian House. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. To recognize Harry’s life and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jane D.
