LINCOLN – Harvard C. Whitten, 77, husband of Patricia (Whalen) Whitten, died Nov. 22, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born March 24, 1929, in Lincoln, the son of Albert and Helen (Clapp) Whitten. He graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1947 and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for several years. He was a member and past president of the New Hampshire Graphic Arts Association. Harvard was a longtime resident of Manchester, N.H., and Portland and was employed by C.H. Robinson Paper Co., from which he retired. Upon his retirement in 1992, he returned to Lincoln. In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters, Joanne Letendre and her husband, John, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Mary Powers of Manchester, N.H.; six grandchildren, Leah, Amanda, Dan, Emily, Andrew and Molly; a brother, Winston Whitten of Vergennes, Vt.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Myles Cyr presiding.
