LUBEC – Hazel P. Tyler, 84, died Monday, Oct 11, 2004 in a Lubec nursing home. Mrs. Tyler was born in Lubec on June 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Mary (Ryerson) Parker. She was employed as a packer for area sardine factories. Hazel was a member of the Christian Temple Church in Lubec and enjoyed reading, the company of friends, and visiting her family in Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Tyler; her sister, Jessie Stafford; and a niece Joanne Stafford. Surviving are two sons, John Wesley Tyler and his wife, Patricia of Spofford, N.H., and Galen Tyler and his wife, Cheryl of East Hampton, Conn.; four grandchildren, Lori Carrier of Keene, N.H., Tim Tyler of Keene, N.H., Amy Ordonez and her husband, Alex, of Middletown, Conn., and Adam Tyler of Boston, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, TJ, and Neve; two nephews, Robert Stafford and Roland Cheney and his wife, Vi, both of Lubec; and a niece, Ann Seavey and her husband, Roger of Lubec. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004 at the Christian Temple Church in Lubec at which time funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Gary Look. Burial will be in Corey Cemetery, Lubec. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hazel’s memory to Christian Temple Church, Main St., Lubec, ME 04652.
