SANGERVILLE – Hazel Y. Pearl, 64, died Dec. 27, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born March 31, 1940, in Old Town, the daughter of Romeo and Gladys (Turner) Raymond. Hazel, along with her husband Dennis, operated D & H Trucking for several years. She was a past president and member of Sangerville Fireman’s Auxiliary, and was an Avon representative for the area for many years. Hazel loved children and babysat for many of the kids going both to and from school. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved traveling down to Foxwoods from time to time, as she was able. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis Pearl of Sangerville; a son, Jeff Pearl and his fianc?e, Angie Alfonso, of Abbot; three daughters, Laurie and her husband, Brian Wharff, of Sangerville, Susan Pearl of Guilford, and Crissy Pearl of Sangerville; four brothers, Dennis and his wife, Jean Raymond, John and his wife, Brenda Raymond, Guy and his wife, Chris Raymond, all of Dover-Foxcroft, and Glen Raymond of Waterville; a sister, Julie and her husband, Cecil Drake, of Newport; five grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Kristen, Alyssa, Macee; many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her loyal pet dog, Buffy. There will be a time for family and friends to gather and remember Hazel, from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at the Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge in Guilford. Spring burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Garland. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to a scholarship fund in Hazel’s name.
