ROCKPORT – Hector J. McIntyre, 82, died at his home here Sunday, April 25, 2004, after an extended illness. He was predeceased by a brother, James in 1954. Mr. McIntyre is survived by his wife of 56 years; one son, Douglas H. McIntyre and his wife, Lorrie, of Seattle, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Patricia McIntyre of Staten Island, N.Y.; as well as two grandchildren, Andrew and Emilie McIntyre. Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. A Eucharistic Celebration will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday at the Episcopal Church of St. John Baptist, Main Street, Thomaston. The Rev. William Kennison will officiate. Interment will be Saturday in Church Hill Cemetery, Machiasport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rockland Rotary Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1811, Rockland, ME 04841.
