COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Helen D. Perkins, 89, formerly of Carmel, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, Oct. 26, 2007. Helen was born June 5, 1918, in Hannibal, N.Y. She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1936. She married James O. Perkins, Dec. 5, 1936. She and her husband later attended Elohim Bible Institute, Castile, N.Y., and served many years in the ministry as pastor’s wife and missionary. Helen and Jim were members of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter. Her husband predeceased her, Dec. 16, 2006. Helen is survived by her daughter, Anita (Perkins) Riordan and husband, Robert; two sons, Melvin Perkins and wife, Ruth, of Tucson, Ariz., and Edwin Perkins and wife, Wendy, of Brewer; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Luther Dennison of Hannibal, N.Y., and Bernard Dennison of Buellton, Calif.
