HELEN L. CONNER CORINTH – Helen L Conner, 99, wife of the late Leroy H. Conner, died Aug. 15, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born Jan. 22, 1905, in Levant, the daughter of Leslie and Louise (Tate) Fitz. She had worked as a domestic for many years for Dr. and Mrs. John Brookins of Bangor. Helen’s hobbie was making children’s scrapbooks for doctor’s offices, churches and day care facilities. She was a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church and a former member of the Dexter Grange. She is survived by a son, Ernest Andrews of Corinth; several nephews including a special nephew, Richard Lane, of Hampden. Helen was predeceased by her sister, Mary Lane. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, until time of services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Neil Gastonguay officiating. Burial will be in the Jackman’s Corner Cemetery, Sangerville.
