HANCOCK – Helen L. (Dowling) Nyilas, 69, loving mother, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at her home in Hancock, with her children by her side. She was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Hancock, the daughter of Howard L. and Genevieve R. (Kief) Butler. Helen was a member of the Christian Ridge Church of God in Ellsworth. She enjoyed flowers and working in her garden. For many years, Helen owned and operated her own cleaning business in Hancock. She is survived by five children, Lorianne P. Jackson and Burnie Gordon of Hancock, Kevin E. Page and his wife, Pam, of Hancock, Rebecca L. Hatt and her husband, Will, of Waltham, Jeffrey W. Page and his wife, Bobbie, of Houston, Texas, and Coleene E. Del Conte and her husband, Louis, of Hancock; two brothers, Wayne L. Butler and his wife, Phyllis, and Merle Butler, all of Hancock; a sister, Leola Wilbur of Hancock; two special sisters-in-law, Ida Howie, and Sally Daley; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Bradford, Leeanna, Jessica, Maryssa, Breanne, Meghan, Bethany, Cody, and Victoria; two special nieces, Michelle and April; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Helen will also be missed by a special friend, Carl Woodworth. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Austin M. Dowling Sr.; and two brothers, Gilman Kief and Charles Butler. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Lee Haynes, her friends at the Christian Ridge Church of God, Aunt Pam and Mom-mom (Liz) for being by their side during this difficult time. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian Ridge Church of God, 53 Christian Ridge Road, Ellsworth with the Rev. Jason Bailey, pastor, officiating.
