WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Helen R. Carey, 51, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at her home in Weymouth after a long illness. She was born May 5, 1953, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Lyman and Elizabeth (Dobratz) Kane. She was raised in Bar Harbor and graduated from Mount Desert Island High School. She resided in Weymouth for 27 years. She worked for Bay State Milling Co. in Quincy, Mass.; was accounts payable supervisor at Business Interiors Inc., Boston, Mass. from 1975-1985; and most recently worked in the accounting department at Pro Sports Therapy, Waltham, Mass. for seven years. Surviving in addition to her mother of Bar Harbor, is her husband, William J. Carey of Weymouth; a son, Sean J. Carey of Weymouth; seven brothers, Arthur of Portland, William, Robert, Lyman “Joey” Jr. and Brion, all of Bar Harbor, J. Scott of Simpsonville, S.C., Barry of Quincy, Mass.; and two sisters, Patricia Pinkham of Bar Harbor and Regina Kane of Chattanoga, Tenn. She was predeceased by her father. Visiting hours will be held 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, Mass. A funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in the Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth, Mass. Burial will be in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor, at a later date.
