HAMPDEN – Helene (Woodward) Kimball, 86, wife of the late Guy E. Kimball, died Sept. 9, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Waterville, the daughter of Dorr and Rowena (Pollard) Woodward. She graduated from Stephens High School, Rumford and Bates College in 1941. She worked with the American Red Cross during World War II, taught school and later worked for W. T. Grant Co. She was a member of the Altrusa Club of Bangor; R.S.V.P., and the Hampden Garden Club. Surviving are her sister, Priscilla W. Durgan of Fayette; sister-in-law, Claire Woodward of York Beach; one step-daughter and her husband, Gloria and George Vomvoris of Waxahachie, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Deane M. Woodward and Hildreth B. Woodward. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 21 Holyoke St., Brewer. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dresden.
