HOULTON – Henry G. White, 92, died on June 17, 2004, at Houlton. He was born on April 7, 1912, in Oakfield, the son of Ellsworth and Viollette (Plummer) White. Henry graduated from Houlton High School and Ricker Jr. College, was a 66-year member of the Monument Lodge No. 96 AF & AM of Houlton, a member of the York Rites and Scottish Rites, Anah Shriner’s of Bangor and O.E.S. He was past president of the So. Aroostook Historical Society, and the Oakfield Historical Railroad Museum. He retired from the B & A Railroad after 45 years as a chief train dispatcher, and was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Houlton. He was survived by his two sisters, Greta White of Houlton, and Ursula Levesque of Oakfield; two nieces, two nephews, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Janet; and one brother, Lyle. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with Monument Lodge No. 96 having Masonic services at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Hutchinson officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
