HENRY ‘PETER’ JOSEPH DUBAY LEE – Peter Dubay was taken home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 9, 2005, due to complications from injuries received in a car accident. Peter was a kind, generous man who would do anything to help out a friend or loved one, even going without so someone else could have. Peter was born Aug. 27, 1949, in Lincoln to Florence “Babe” Bouchard Dubay and John Dubay. He was the 10th of 12 children. He attended and graduated from Lee Academy in 1968. Peter served as a Marine from January 1969 to January 1975 and served in the Vietnam War. Peter was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Alton Dubay; and a sister, Ruth Emery. In addition to many friends, Peter is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Roy) Dubay of Lincoln; daughter, Angie Butler and her husband, William, of Lamoine; son, Jeremy Dubay of Lee; daughter, Shalene Dubay of Ellsworth; and daughter, Shannon Woods and her husband, Alex, of Brattleboro Vt.; sisters, Mary Moore of East Millinocket, Doris Swasey of Bristol, Conn., Fernande Johnson of Bristol, Conn., Ellen Cote of Lincoln, Jane Merchant of Millinocket, and Dolleen Dubay Kafka of Lee; brothers, Richard Dube of Lincoln, Raymond Dubay of Lee, Donald Dubay of Bristol, Conn., and Frederick Dubay of Lee; four grandchildren, Karla Butler of Lamoine, Brandon Cote of Lamoine, Liam and Kyle Woods of Brattleboro, Vt. Karla and Brandon were especially close to their grandfather. Many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Peter was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grampy, papa and friend to all who knew him. He will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered by all who knew him. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. David Henry officiating. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee. There will be a gathering after the funeral at the American Legion Hall in Lincoln.
